LIRR Expansion Project team was proud to participate in the 7th Annual STEM Matters NYC Career Day on November 6, 2018. The event is a unique opportunity for NYC Public High School students to learn about careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
On November 5th, 3TC and MTACC-LIRR hosted a community information session for residents of New Cassel and the surrounding communities to learn about the project, receive project updates, and have their questions answered by technical experts.
The LIRR Expansion Project’s Community Information Center in Mineola, at 114 Old Country Road (between Willis Avenue and Roslyn Road) is open. Residents of communities along the Expansion Project are invited to come review new exhibits about the project and ask questions. The hours are posted on www.lirrexpansion.com.
The renovation of Carle Place Station is expected to begin this fall. These stations are: Floral Park New Hyde Park Merillon Avenue Mineola Carle Place Westbury Hicksville Wi-Fi is now accessible on the platform at each of these stations and free for LIRR customers.
