Murray Hill Substation, located on the Port Washington Branch east of Murray Hill Station on Barclay Avenue, will be replaced as part of the LIRR Modernization Program. Substations are integral components of the rail infrastructure system that provides power to the trains and will ultimately support the future growth of the LIRR.
